What is Sales Design and Why is it Important?
Sales Design is the process of designing a sales system or process that can predictably yield consistent results when a prospect meets a salesperson.
Why is this important?
Turn on the television, open the newspaper, or just listen to a radio for a few minutes. Companies spend BILLIONS upon BILLIONS of dollars getting people to visit their stores, yet prospects continually leave unhappy, unsatisfied, and unfilled.
Even though companies train individuals on what work needs to be done when a person enters a store the amount of money spent compared to advertising to get people IN the store pales in comparision.
So what is Sales Design designed to do?
- To make the process of people walking into your place of business enjoyable.
- To enable you to charge premium prices.
- To position yourself as THE provider of choice in your market
- To make your business more valuable.
- To help you design a business that truly is remarkable.
- To give you more life…in a business sort of way.
What are the things we look at?
Everything from how the phone is answered, to the uniform that the staff wears. How someone is greeted, seated, and prepared for the sale. Everything from the stationary you use, the way the parking lot is kept, the way the bathroom is prepared. From the aroma’s in the lobby to the music playing in the background. The complete and entire process is analyzed down to the most tiny detail.
All of these minute details are considered, analyzed, and dissected. We leave no stone uncovered.
How do you know if sales design is for you?
To be honest, for most people it isn’t. So if you’re a person who balks at sending a thank you card to potential prospects it isn’t for you. If you are a person who balks at continual training, if you are a person that stutters at research into your market place, then sales design is NOT for you.
However, if you are determined to convert more prospects into long-lasting client relationships to where you are a trusted advisor, if you are interested in charging premium prices, and if you want to set yourself apart and differentiate yourself from your competition — then it might be for you.
